Presentation by Mr. William Lynch, RPh.
Student use of Juul, e-cigarettes and vaping
Wednesday, January 9, 2019 - 6:00 pm
Holy Spirit High School Auditorium
On December 17, 2018 our students heard a presentation by Mr. William Lynch who is a clinical pharmacist at Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital. I believe it was an eye-opening and informative presentation and students were provided timely information regarding the harmful health effects of vaping as well as the potential for addiction to nicotine as well as other substances which can be used in these devices.
As I stated in my communication to you on December 17th, vaping is the fastest growing drug use in middle and high school aged students. There is adramatic rise in the number of students who are participating in this activity. Holy Spirit High School feels that it was very important to provide all of our students with accurate information regarding an activity which young people believe is less dangerous to them than cigarette smoking or other drug use."
Please mark your calendar today for this important presentation on Wednesday, January 9 beginning at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. Mr. Lynch will take questions after the formal presentation. This information is worth hearing and you are invited to bring a friend. We hope to see you on January 9th!
Fr. Nevitt will be celebrating mass in the Chapel every Tuesday at 2:15pm and Thursday at 7:20am
