Class of 1970 - Golden Spartans

Dear Class of 1970,
Golden Spartans
We are happy to write today to start to celebrate the 50th anniversary of your Holy Spirit High School graduation. As part of this celebration, we invite you to join us in inaugurating the Golden Spartans, a way to commemorate your 50th Anniversary!
Golden Spartans is an opportunity to connect with classmates, share stories, remember old teachers and coaches, break out the 1970 yearbook, and come back to Holy Spirit’s campus. While much has changed, the spirit of your alma mater remains vibrant.
The original plan was to have a ceremony inducting your class into the Golden Spartans during Commencement 2020 weekend. With the closure of schools, this is not a reality for June 2020. Instead, we will be having a ceremony in the next academic school year, when conditions permit, and we can gather together to break bread and formally inaugurate our new Golden Spartans with the Class of 1970.
Golden Spartans also have the chance to make a connection with the newest Holy Spirit alumni, graduating class of 2020. That is a valuable connection of who we are as a Holy Spirit community. Specifically, we want to include messages of hope and congratulations from you to our seniors in the form of brief, 10-20 second videos. A few words of inspiration from a fellow Spartan can bolster our students as they step into the next phases of their lives. If you choose to make a video, please send it in by June 1, 2020. We will share with our seniors, and we hope to use some of them during our lead up to commencement exercises. There are two ways to send them in:
  1. You can upload them directly to this folder:
  2. You can email them to:
We are living during some turbulent times and the connection of faith, education, diligence, and community that you can offer to our graduating seniors underscores the importance of a Holy Spirit High School education for our students.
Also, if you happen to know a classmate who is not receiving Holy Spirit communication, please share this with him/her, and ask them to reach out to Steve Normane:
Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to watching your videos and gathering together in the near future.
