Assumption Students & AtlantiCare Are Heart Heroes!

The Assumption School Family held a Valentine's Day Dress Down Day to raise money and awareness about heart health. The money raised was donated to the AtlantiCare Heart Heroes - a volunteer organization within the AtlantiCare Heart Institute - that raises money to place AED's in the community. Together, Assumption School and the AtlantiCare Heart Hero's raised enough money to purchase an AED, and then donated it to Holy Spirit!

While there are multiple AED units inside the building, this donation allows us to place one outside adjacent to our athletic facilities to be readily accessible if ever a student, coach or fan needed immediate medical assistance.

Next year, Holy Spirit will "pay it forward" by holding our own Dress Down Day and donate the money to the Heart Heroes to purchase an AED for yet another location. And so it goes....the (heart)beat goes on!

Thank you, Assumption School and AtlantiCare Heart Heroes!
