On Wednesday, the Class of 2025 got creative for “Anything But a Backpack Day”—rolling, carrying, and wheeling in everything but a backpack! From shopping carts to cones to golf clubs, our seniors showed up with school spirit and tons of laughs.

🦴 Hands-On Learning in Anatomy & Physiology!
Mr. Gross’s Anatomy & Physiology classes just wrapped up their unit on the skeletal system and fractures with an unforgettable experience!
Special thanks to Mrs. Byrnes, HSHS alum who works for Shore Orthopaedic University Associates, for visiting and teaching our students how to properly place a cast. Students even practiced casting on their classmates—and yes, the casts came off by the end of class!

Our Holy Spirit High School National Honor Society seniors recently assembled Dignity Bags filled with essential items to support children in need. These meaningful care packages were picked up by Christine from Everyone’s Children and delivered to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), where they’ll be distributed to kids facing tough circumstances.

🎓💙 Day of Giving – Honoring the Class of 2025! 💛🎓
In celebration of their daughter Ella Taboga’s upcoming graduation and the entire Holy Spirit Class of 2025, current Spirit parents Paul and Mia Taboga generously offered a Senior Match Challenge during this year's Day of Giving—matching up to $5,000 in donations made in honor of the senior class!
As part of this special initiative, any senior family who made a donation was entered into a drawing for reserved seating at graduation.

🚘 Keeping Our Spartans Safe Behind the Wheel
We were honored to welcome Atlantic County Prosecutor—and proud Holy Spirit graduate—Bill Reynolds back to campus for an important presentation on the dangers of drunk, distracted, and high driving.
Joined by Lt. James Rosiello of the Fatal Accident Unit, Prosecutor Reynolds spoke to our student body about the life-altering consequences of unsafe driving choices. Through powerful real-life examples and meaningful conversation, our students were reminded of the responsibility that comes with being behind the wheel.
We are incredibly grateful for this partnership with the Office of the Atlantic County Prosecutor and proud to be part of a community committed to protecting and educating the next generation.

We are truly grateful to everyone who came out to support our mission and help keep our school moving in a positive direction. From bulk removal around campus to shade work in the gym, sheetrock repairs in the boys’ locker room, painting in the baseball dugout, fence prep for the softball field, backstop repair, and full-campus trash cleanup—your time and effort made a huge impact.
Father's Club President Mike Finnerty said it best:

🗣️🎬 In Mr. Higbee’s class, students stepped into the role of teacher with their “How-To” speeches, where they demonstrated and explained a variety of skills and processes!
From “How to Make Edible Cookie Dough” to “How to Read a Defense in Football,” topics included everything from athletics and arts to life skills and hobbies—like crocheting, pitching a baseball, playing the piano, performing basic first aid, and even tap dancing! 👟🎹🥎
This assignment helps students learn how to clearly organize and communicate a process so an audience can follow and understand. No matter the topic, the focus was on clarity, structure, and confidence in presentation.
