College Partnerships

Dual Enrollment is a high school engagement initiative that allows students to earn college credit while in high school. This program can better prepare students for college admission and future academic study.
 
Program Highlights:
• Dual Enrollment provides high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to receive academic credit from Rowan
University.
• The credits earned may be transferable to other 4-year institutions.
• Courses are offered at a discounted rate of $185 per credit.

Enrollment Criteria:
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
• Must be eleventh or twelfth grade
• Additional requirements may be necessary.

Enrollment Procedures:
• Students must complete the activation form to ensure proper billing at the discounted rate.
• Once the activation form is completed, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to activate your Rowan
account.

As the agreement states, "in recognition of Holy Spirit High School's academically rigorous college preparatory curriculum that exceeds the minimum core requirements of a high school education and earns high college placement of its graduates, GCU and HSHS enter in this agreement to facilitate the seamless enrollment of HSHS students to GCU upon earning their high school diploma!"

In addition to guaranteed admissions to qualified students, GCU will waive fees, provide personalized admissions advisement and award very competitive and generous scholarships up to $19,000 per year!

King's College is a Catholic institution of higher education animated and guided by the Congregation of the Holy Cross.  King's pursues excellence in teaching, learning, and scholarship through a rigorous core curriculum, major programs across the liberal arts and sciences, nationally accredited professional programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and personal attention to student formation in a nurturing community.
 
King's is excited to offer qualified students of Holy Spirit High School an opportunity to attend King's with a substantial tuition benefit that will apply each year for four years assuming a student remains in good standing.
 
Partnership Details:
  • Qualifying Holy Spirit students will receive an annual merit scholarship ranging from $18,000 to $25,000 (up to $72,000 - $100,000 cumulatively over 4 years).
  • Qualifying Holy Spirit students will receive an additional merit-based $1,000 scholarship (up to $4,000 cumulatively over 4 years).
  • Holy Spirit students may also qualify for financial need-based scholarship awards.  Students and their families must timely complete the FAFSA in order to qualify for financial needs-based awards.
 
Criteria:
  • Each student must have a minimum high school cumulative GPA of 3.0 to qualify.
  • Each student must be granted admission to the college.
  • Certain academic programs at King's have program-specific admissions criteria, which must be met to earn acceptance to these programs.  These academic programs include, but are not limited to: Physician Assistant Studies, Civil Engineering (King's), Mechanical Engineering (King's), 3+2 Engineering (Notre Dame), 3+2 Engineering (Washington University), and Nursing.
